        Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age.

        Competing for the TACK & TURNOUT Cup.

Class 2        LEAD REIN EQUITATION

        Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider 9 years and under.

        Competing for the WEBSTER Shield.

        The lead rein must be attached to the noseband. Snaffle bridles only.

        Competitors in this class may not enter any other ridden class except

        for Classes 1 and 20, where they must be led.

DIRECTIONS TO WOODNOOK ARENA

From M62 East of Huddersfield: Exit at Junction 25 and follow the signs for Huddersfield (A62).

 

From M62 West of Huddersfield: Exit at Junction 23 and follow the signs for Huddersfield (A640).

 

THEN:

At the Ring Road, follow the signs for Holmfirth/Sheffield (A616).

Follow the A616 for approx. 4 miles (involves a left turn at the traffic lights by the Red Lion pub at Lockwood - do not go straight on to Meltham).

At the traffic lights at Newtown, Honley (large petrol station on the right), fork right and turn right at the next set of lights (only a couple of hundred yards).

Follow the road into Honley Village (speed bumps!) and, at the roundabout take the exit signed MELTHAM.

Woodnook Arena is approx. 1½ miles up that road on the right hand side.

For those of you with Sat Nav, the postcode is HD9 4DU.

RULES OF THIS SHOW

 

THE MAKING OF AN ENTRY CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES

 

1.        Only those entries made on a correctly completed entry form, and accompanied by the correct remittance, will be accepted.

 

2.        Hard hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted and should conform to the current British Standard.

 

3.        The Judges are guests of the organisers and shall be treated as such. Their decision is final. Argumentative and abusive behaviour towards the Judges shall not be tolerated and any person displaying such behaviour will be removed from the Showground.

Objections may be lodged within 15 minutes of the close of the class, but must be made in writing and be accompanied by a deposit of £20 which will be refunded should the objection be upheld.

 

4.        The organisers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or accident whatsoever which may be sustained by a competitor, attendant, member of  the  public, entry or exhibit, motor car or other vehicle, tack, equipment or  other personal belongings.

 

5.        The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel any class at their discretion, to refuse an entry without giving a reason and to remove persons from the showground if they refuse to comply with the rules.

 

6.        Horses and ponies in all of the ridden classes must be either mares or geldings aged 4 years old or over.

 

7.        NO STALLIONS i.e. entires over 2 years old.
