Happy New Year to you all
Dear Members
Bit of a delay in wishing you all a Happy New Year but this is our 1st Newsletter of the year. Our 1st event kicks off with the return of the Curry & Cards Night which went down a storm last year. We will be running the ODE again in April and following that will be an Introduction to Dressage Day, This is for those of you who would like to come to the points dressage but have not plucked up the courage to do so just yet.
Curry & Cards Night 1st March 2010 Cinnamon Lodge Meltham 7.30pm
Our first event of the New Year will be an evening with Bruce Forsyth (John Eaton really).
Tickets are £12 and are available from all committee members and yes you guessed it “Tack & Turnout”. After the buffet style curry there will be a chance to have a go at play your cards right and the winner could walk away with a fortune! (Ahem well a few quid!) You don’t have to be a member to come, everyone welcome.

Without the help of sponsorship it’s very hard to run the show.
The entries for the Equitation Points were very low last year (None existent really). We are looking to you for new ideas on what to run instead. We have had suggestions of a Showing points, or a CVSC All-round Horse of the year league, run like the superhorse or do you want to just stick with the Equitation your input would be greatly appreciated. Please email me your ideas.
I would also appreciate ideas from you on this years Talk! What interests you??? Again ideas are Bitting Clinic, Tack Marking Evening, Equine Therapy,
Please email me with your suggestions on anything you think we could improve or change. Now is the time to speak up and come forward with your ideas so that we have time to implement them.

Your subs are now due and are still at £12.00 for riding members and £5 for social members, all cheques should be made out to Colne Valley Saddle Club and posted to Ros Lawton @ 124 Towngate, Netherthong, Holmfirth, HD9 3XZ (Please Please include your email address) This will be your last newsletter
