Dear Members
Well, we have a famous member upon us!! Ros Lawton’s Princess Maisie is in Your Horse Spring 2012 Magazine on page 21 doing a bit of modelling! Be sure to take a look if you can get your hands on the magazine!
Lighter nights are finally here, but not sure the weather has caught up after the bad snow we had this last week. Typical Easter weather for the Easter Ride we had planned for the 9th April….. Rain! Sadly the ride had to be cancelled.
What a great night was had by all at the curry buffet evening at the Monsoon in Slaithwaite held 22 March. We had 52 people attending and the raffle went down very well, having lots of great prizes that were won! Another social evening will be run in approx 6 months time maybe held at a different venue? What do you all think? Further details will follow in future newsletters.
Membership cards are going to be issued to all members and these will have your membership number on them. Please can you bring them to all events to show that you are a fully paid up member for 2012.
SUBSCRIPTIONS If you haven’t yet renewed your subscription then this is a reminder that your MEMBERSHIP FEE IS NOW OVERDUE, so please rejoin us today we don’t want to lose you! If any member introduces someone to join the club they will get a free entry to a club event!
We have had 2 members putting their names forward as interested in having EBT. If you are interested in having EBT and have not lodged your interest then please let us know ASAP. Equine Balancing Therapy (EBT) with Julie Houghton www.equinetherapyservices.co.uk to be held at Woodnook if we can get enough numbers to attend. Can you please email your interest to colnevalleysaddleclub@hotmail.co.uk or contact Nicola Marshall on 07841 535563 as soon as possible as we will be running this early May. If you’d prefer a cranio sacral treatment at your own premises then please contact Julie direct, details are on her website.

22 April 2012 – Local Riders Dressage Show – Classes – Intro A, Prelim 1 and Prelim 7. To be held at club field. Open to members and non members. £6 per class members, £8 per class non members. Join the club on the day to get entry at £6 per class.
29 April 2012 – Local Riders Working Hunter Show – Classes – Ridden Hunter and Working Hunter. Open to members and non members. Classes may split by ponies/horses if sufficient entries. To be held at club field. Start time 10.30am. £5 per class members and £7 per class non members. Join the club on the day to get entry at £5 per class.
2 May 2012 – Dressage Points Show – The 1st of the dressage point’s show to be held in the evening starts with the classes Intro B, Prelim 7 and Prelim 18. Only 2 of the 3 classes can be entered by any member due to time limits in the evenings.

7 May 2012 – Show Jumping Show – Classes – Clear Round, Pre Novice, Novice, Pairs, Intermediate and Open. Open to members and non members. To be held at club field. Starts 10.30 with clear round class. Clear round to run till 11 am. £2 per clear round entry. £5 per class for members and £7 per class for non members. Join the club on the day to get entry at £5 per class.
