The Jump Cross last weekend went well. The weather looked dubious early doors but the sun did try to come out and the mist lifted. Whilst not greatly attended I think we all had fun!! Results are below.

Holme Valley Team Jumping

Would you like to represent the saddle club at the Holme Valley Team Show jumping to be held at Woodnook. We are looking for 2 teams for the Novice and Intermediate classes. Presentation Evening, AGM & Sop Supper
26th October 2009 @ Travellers Rest.
This years AGM will be at the Travellers Rest from 8pm followed by the presentation of this years points trophies.
Supper will be served following the presentation. If you would like supper please return the ticket stub enclosing £3.00 and indicating sop sandwich or vegetarian option. Please come along to support your club and cheer your fellow members on in their achievements. New members welcome
If you have any requests or ideas for different kinds of training or events please come along and share your ideas.
HOLME VALLEY INDOOR XC - Sat 31 October
Sue Chadwick, BHSI and event rider will be taking the clinic at Woodnook. There will be group sessions split into Minimus / Novice / Intermediate / Open. Group lessons will be £15 for HVRC members and £20 for non-members. The closing date is Friday 23 October unless full earlier.
Mock Hunt – Sorry but due to lack of interest and land we won’t be running this.
HOLME VALLEY TEAM DRESSAGE - Sunday 15 November
Teams of 3 all scores to count – 2 riders Prelim and 1 Novice make a note of the date schedule to follow. If you would like to represent CVSC at this event please let me know and I will contact you later HVRC have put the schedule together. 07841 535563
ROCKWOOD HARRIERS PONY CLUB TEAM SHOW JUMPING Sunday 22 November – make a note in your diary we will be sending teams – (Novice 2', Intermediate 2' 6", Open 3'). If you would like to represent us please send me the enclosed entry form by Saturday 14 November
HORSE WATCH in conjunction with WEST YORKSHIRE POLICE
HVRC are launching this on Saturday 28 November at Woodnook - FIGHTING EQUINE CRIME. To support horse owners across the area, West Yorkshire Police are re-introducing the Horsewatch concept, aiming to provide advice and information to assist in the prevention of crime. You can download an information pack from www.westyorkshirepolice.uk/horsewatch in the pack you will find a member registration form (to be completed and sent back to your local Horsewatch co-ordinator – see website) – it is free and it is important to send this back as the more people that sign up, the more funding will be allocated to the scheme. This will enable Police to report things that might be suspicious but not a crime - as well as passing on good news in a more efficient way!
The event will include horse micro chipping; tack marking; information from other groups: Kirkees Bridleway Group / BHS / Animal welfare team etc. More details to follow.
